Welcome to the official Ashby Family website! So glad you could make it and we're extremely happy to have you here! Here, you will find information about upcoming events, family tree information, and family history. Knowing where we come from helps us know where we are going. It is a good thing to know who our family members are. It is so important. It is a sad state of affairs not to know who your family is. Ever hear the phrase “double cousins?” We are a warm, lively, loving, raucous, and interesting family. Each family member is a true gem, and there are so many of us!
Our heritage is rich and precious; we come from good stock! James Dudley (Francis) Ashby and Mary Virginia Bell came from two totally different backgrounds, cultures, and parts of the world. We love flying fish and coo-coo and we love cheese grits and mashed potatoes. When you really think about who our ancestors are and what it took for the Ashby children and their offspring to be born into this planet, it is an awesome thing. A true testament of God's goodness. Think about that. Our family is the best, and that is all there is to it!
